RE DEI RE MINORE / king of D minor
Nàreshran, my real name, literally means ‘king of kings’.
The Italian words for ‘king’ and the note ‘D’ are both spelled ‘RE’.
Re Dei Re Minore comes after a year of working on a different music perspective, trying to push my personal boundaries.
As a passionate traveller I started developing a more and more personal way to conceive my approach to sounds connected to an on the road attitude, refusing all the comfort zones of every musician like studios, home and practice spaces, and choosing my journeys as my favorite locations to create and work on the tracks.
Noises, field recordings, voices, buzzes, weather and landscapes had been recorded, processed and carved with pocket instruments to create solid textures unreproducible by other instruments, like postcards of real life trips lived in the moment and turned into sound.
